Marketing your new business Become a leader. It is said that ninety seven per cent of network marketers fail in their business of choice, with only three per cent reaching a state of financial freedom. One of the core reasons people are unsuccessful in MLM, and never reach the goals they first envisioned in the initial stages, is their marketing strategies. People browsing online are not interested in your ideas or business model, they don’t need your product or the service you are promoting, and they simple don’t see what you see. So how do you attract them, well the answer is don’t promote your business directly at them, if your selling a drill, don’t hype the drill, hype the benefits, as the saying goes, the person that bought a drill did not actually want a drill, he wanted a hole, and the drill served the purpose. Later when you have warmed someone to what the drill will do, then you can go on to say how easy it is to use or how powerful the motor is. People that are looking for an online enterprise are not looking for the wonderful web hosting your offering or the vitamin supplements; they are after money and the freedom that comes with a home business. So how do you market your business? How do you get people interested? The best marketing method available to you is, brand yourself as an expert in home business, post YouTube videos and Blogs, share your experience with everyone, give people what they are really looking for, a way to get success, and education. When someone views your video stating how much capital you have made with company X, they don’t care, and they don’t know how you’re doing it, so instead of asking them to sign up, tell them how you are doing it, inform them what you did to get money, and invite them to mail you if they need more help, that’s networking, building relationships with your warm market. You’re showing people that you know what you’re talking about and they feel confident that you could be the way forward for them. The best way to build your business or downline is to lead by education, each time leading them slowly towards the sign up page, but only at the pace they wish to travel, you also get to see whether the person is right for your business at the same time. Be the leader, lead the way, show people that you can help them realise their goals, and train your people to do the same, I would rather have 50 leaders in a downline than 200 tire kickers, ( my word for people than rely on others to get them sign ups). Another important factor is having an automated referral system, I will cover these in my system reviews, but if you are an old pro in network marketing it will come as no surprise that most of the big hitter in the industry use systems to produce leads and get conversions, most of them have made the systems themselves, however it is still a valuable asset to be part of a system whether you make one or you join someone else’s.
